LIBRARY & TECHNOLOGY
LIBRARY
The Library is an integral part of the school. It is fully computerised and aims to provide an environment, which is welcoming and stimulating for individual and group learning. It is primarily a learning and information centre and as such is an essential resource for the planning and implementation of the teaching program at the school. To aid the development of a positive attitude toward book care, all children will be required to have a library bag. Children are encouraged to borrow library books during their weekly Library lesson. Book Week is a major focus for the Library with a Book Fair held during this week each year. INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY
The school's main aim is to ensure the children are competent and confident in the varied ways in which computers can support and enhance their learning. All students have ready access to Computers in the classroom and the school Library. |
BOOK CLUB
We participate in Scholastic Book Club so that the children may have access to interesting books, suited to their age and interest at a reasonable cost. A catalogue and order form is sent home with the children once per term. There is no pressure on you to purchase any books.

St John’s Primary School is part of the Catholic Diocese of Bathurst. We acknowledge the Wiradjuri, Gamilaraay and Wailwan peoples, the traditional custodians of the lands on which our parishes, schools and offices reside. We also pay our respects to elders past and present.
