St John's Primary School is an integral part of St Brigid’s Parish. Catholic values and traditions are taught in a formal religious education program and are a guide for all that we do. Our core task is education. Our staff devotes their classroom time to the tasks of teaching and learning.
While we strive to work in partnership with our families, we recognise that parents are the first and prime educators of their children. It is certainly our privilege to work with you and to share the responsibilities of educating your children and helping them to prepare for the future. We hope that you will experience a sense of warmth and welcome, and that there will be a rich sharing of ideas, talents and enthusiasm as together we go about the work of helping our children to learn and grow. |

YEAR 5 LEADERSHIP DAY
This Wednesday our Year 5 students will have the opportunity to meet with Mrs Burden and several SJC Year 10 students to foster discussion about their leadership role as Year 6’s in 2024. We know from previous years, this Leadership Day provides our students with opportunities to explore how students
can use their skills and qualities as leaders. A particular focus will be on serving the school community - with the theme and focus being to serve and lead as Jesus did. We know our Year 5 cohort will enjoy this day and hopefully it will begin to prepare all of them, to be leaders of our school next year.

CHRISTMAS HAMPER APPEAL
This week is the final week for Vinnies Christmas Hamper collection. By Thursday, hampers will be finalised and wrapped in preparation to be collected and then distributed within the Dubbo community closer to Christmas. Once again, can I say how grateful we are to be part of such a thoughtful and giving school community. Thank you for once again supporting this great Christmas tradition within our Catholic schools.
